Sitting At The Feet Of Jesus

Jesus is coming to a city near you...He just stepped off the plane. He is driving down your street....He is knocking at your door. When you let him in, will you run around being busy trying to fix and put things all in place?

Doing this and that, trying to get everything in order, making sure everything is just right but forgetting that He came to your house simply just to talk to you. To inform you about some things that is about to come to pass. Read you the doctor's report. Groom you with wisdom, to get through the next test/trial. Inform you that He knows all about you feeling unloved and letting you know that He loves you and He forgives you for every thing that you have done against his will.

He simply came to inform you that all things do work together for the good of those that love him. Trouble won't last always and weeping is just for a night. But joy does come in the morning. He simply stops by to let you know that "Great" shall be the peace of your children and all your children shall be taught of the Lord. You are the apple of His eye. No man can pluck you out of his hands. He is your Shepherd. You shall not be in want for anything.

No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper. He simply desires to teach you how to love those that despitefully use and abuse you. He gives you the   key to keeping your mind sane and that is accomplished by keeping your mind stayed on Jesus. He will keep you in perfect peace! He simply stopped by to tell you that " I go to prepare a place for you and In my fathers house there are many mansions if it was not so I wouldn't have told you so." Without faith, it is impossible to please God.

Where two or more come together touching and agreeing, I am in the midst. When men/women say evil things about you for my sake...count it all has Joy. The power of life and death is in your tongue. I have set before you life and death.  Don't be weary in well doing. If you feed the hungry, clothe the naked, you have done so unto me.

I believe you understand by now that Jesus simply came to speak the word but Martha was to busy. She had too many issues that could only be addressed  by the Master. She missed the opportunity to be healed and delivered from those issues by being a busy body. She got nothing done. She overlooked the source that would bring her a peace of mind. The peace that when hell is breaking loose, you still possess joy.

Mary chose the good thing and that was to sit at the feet of Jesus to hear every word that he had spoken. After all, He was the one that cast out those seven devils. She had come to him raggedy, worn out, misused and abused. She knew that if she ever left her first love, that the demons who had her all bound up, could and would return.

God is simply saying, "don't get soo busy that you forget him." Don't forget to put His word first. Don't forget  to seek his face early, when you rise. We have gotten away with talking to God about all our problems..We say we love God. and I believe we do. But when you say you love someone, you talk to him daily. You are in a relationship with that special someone. Jesus cannot be our Part time Lover. He must be first in everything. When you stay at his feet, getting everything that pertains to life and godliness, you will not be led down the wrong pathway. Let's all get back to our first love.

March Madness!: The Joshua Generation...Moving Forward!

Photobucket

In the book of Exodus, you will read about Moses. Moses was  a man chosen by God to bring the children of Israel out of  a life of oppression, depression, and  a life filled with bondage. Because of his trust, faith, and obedience to God: Moses succeeded in accomplishing his assignment. His assignment was to bring the people out of Egypt, however, because of his disobedience, he was not chosen by God to carry the people across the Jordan river to the promised land.

Joshua was a man that possessed strong faith in God, one of the twelve men sent to spy out the land. He came back to report that they were more than able to overcome the giants. He was appointed after the death of Moses to continue the journey, the assignment ordained and purposed by God. Joshua was chosen to lead the people from where they were, across the wide-deep Jordan River, to the promised land.

The Jordan was a river where there were no bridges, no boats, or rafts that were being used to cross over. It was simply the supernatural move of God, creating a pathway on dry land for the people to cross over. The children of Israel had to totally rely and depend on God-not by might, nor by power, but by His spirit only.

In 2010, God is calling for the Joshua Generation to prepare themselves to cross the Jordan River. We as a people have been complacent, stagnant, and unfruitful long enough. This movement will begin with the chosen people of God (Those that are carrying the ark of God) the only piece of furniture that was in the most holy room of the tabernacle.

These are the leaders that were set out and set apart. These leaders are chosen to be vessels used by God, individuals that manifest a life pleasing to God, possessing the Holy Spirit of God, on the frontline for God’s ministry, reaching souls through his word, his love and his deeds. These leaders are those that are possessing the fruit of His spirit, possessing wisdom and knowledge; those having a genuine concern about wounded, hurting, oppressed and depressed people obtaining salvation, healing and deliverance.

These leaders, being directed by God, will be the ones to first step into the Jordan River. The scripture tells us that God has already said that, “Everywhere the soles of our feet shall tread upon, he has already declared it is yours, and no man shall be able to take what God has declared yours, and as he was with Moses, he shall be with us.

We must be strong and very courageous, we must be obedient to the word of God and in doing so we as a people shall be able to cross the Jordan Rivers in our lives. Great things happened in the Jordan River; Jesus himself was baptized in the Jordan River, John the Baptist , baptized in the river(Matt 3) Elisha performed a miracle in the Jordan River (2Kings) Naaman healed by bathing in the Jordan River.

These miracles happened in the river after the crossing of the Jordan River. Yes, it was a process that took much endurance but I hear the voice of God saying, “Don’t despise the small beginnings”. As we prepare ourselves to cross over from bondage to liberation. From lack to an abundance of wealth. From pain to power. From victim to victor. From low self-esteem to confidence. From average to distinguished. From lukewarm to on fire for God. We shall posses the miracles of God!

Get ready to move in March… this is a M-A-R-C-H M-A-D-N-E-S-S!

Total Healing

Total Healing; “Not in the Pool!

John 5:1-16

In the book of John chapter 5 you will read about a story of a man that was paralyzed and on a daily basis he layed beside a pool that was known to bring about healing to a person that was either blind, lame our paralyzed (v3). There was a certain time of the year that an angel would come down and stir up the pool and who ever would get into the pool first would be the one that received its healing.

It does not give the age of the man; but clearly tells us that he was paralyzed for thirty eight years; it doesn’t tell us how, when or why it simply states his condition.

In the sixth verse, Jesus came by and saw the man lying there and found out that this man had been in that condition for a long time and he asked him “Do you want to get well”? “And the man replied “I don’t have a man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, and while I’m coming someone else goes ahead of me.Having been in a state of paralysis.. not physically but maybe emotionally, mentally, financially, or spiritually, we too find ourselves waiting on something or someone to bring about wholeness/healing in our lives.

The man in this story gives us important information that supports my views as a person waiting on someone else to do the job for him, or waiting on something to give him that push that he needs. There is a scripture in Isaiah 40:31 that tells us, “Those who wait on the Lord shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint”.  If we can be honest with ourselves, we to have had this same mentality of waiting on something or someone to give us only what God can give.

The bible tells us that this event took place at a certain time of the year; this was not something that was done on a monthly or daily basis. The season had to be just right but when Jesus stepped on the scene everything changed with this man's situation. This man was bound in his body; but he still had a voice to cry out and call on the name of Jesus. When Jesus came, his only concern was “Do you want to be healed”?

The same question he is asking us; Jesus does not want to hear any of our excuses why we're still left in that state of paralysis, because he already knows how we got there in the first place. He knows that you were abused at some point in your life, he knows that they didn’t treat you right, he knows that you’ve been lied on, talked about, overlooked and singled out, he knows about the test and trials that got so hot it felt as though you were in the fiery furnace, But all he desires to know “Do you want to be healed”?

I too was waiting on the side of the pool for 32 years after trying drugs, alcohol, men, gambling and what ever addiction that I was operating in. I was searching for someone to bring about a healing in my life only to find out that true deliverance and healing comes from the Lord. So when I stopped making excuses and excepted the Love of God, allowing him to bring about a total healing within me, I no longer lay in that state of paralysis.

And he is saying today to you simply “Do you want to be healed”? Jesus told the man to “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk and at once the man was healed, picked up his mat and began to walk.Later on in the story, Jesus finds the man at the temple and said to him” See, you are well again, stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.

Even after Jesus healed the man he still continued on sinning and what hit me was that Jesus said to the man you are well again, which implies at one point in his life, he was doing pretty good, so what happened? We can come to a conclusion that the man was being disobedient and acting out in sinful ways.

The bible tells us that God chastises those that he loves; things are allowed to happen to us only because God wants us to be obedient to him, he says “Obedience is better than sacrifice’ meaning no matter what type of praise you give him; being obedient to him is what he desires the most.

God is always looking out for us, and when he chastises us, those beatings don’t feel so good but it all works out for those that love the Lord. There is a purpose for every situation that arises; we must choose not to put our faith in people, places or things, but only in God.
